Professional Hearing Services and Watertown Lion’s Club Partner to Help Those in Need

Professional Hearing Services, Inc. recently announced it has partnered with the Watertown Lion’s Club to help provide hearing assistance to those in need through SD Hears, a non-profit division of the Watertown Lion’s Club.

The newly created SD Hears is a locally funded program designed to help provide hearing help to people who need it.

“Our goal is to provide a prescription hearing device based on a person’s individual hearing needs rather than a “one size fits all” device, which often can’t give the wearer the quality of life they are hoping to achieve,” Dr. Todd Decker, owner of Professional Hearing Services said.

SD Hears is currently accepting donations and will begin fundraising soon. The money raised will be used to purchase hearing technology for approved applicants to SD Hears. Applicants will be considered on an income basis, but can also be approved based on circumstances such as extensive medical bills or an extenuating personal situation.

“The Lions Club has a long-standing history of helping those with vision and hearing needs, and we are excited to be able to extend that help to even more people in need of hearing assistance,” said Dustin Brownell, Watertown Lions Club member.

The Lions Club will be holding and distributing the funds and Professional Hearing Services will be donating all related hearing healthcare services and access to the best hearing healthcare technology.

Donations can be given to the Watertown Lion’s Club with a designation to SD Hears, or to Professional Hearing Services. For more information, call Professional Hearing Services at 605-882-1591.

“We’ve seen the dramatic difference having the right hearing device can make in a person’s life,” Dr. Decker said. “We just want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to experience that joy.”
